The initiatives of the Municipality of Genoa featured in the latest issue of "Il territorio si fa scuola".
The sixth issue of the magazine "Il territorio si fa scuola" is now available, bringing with it a wave of exciting new projects. This periodical, born from the idea of school principals Riccardo Badino and Giuseppina Manno, gathers journalistic contributions from students and teachers across Liguria, written with dedication and creativity. It is a lively testimony of the initiatives that connect classes to the cultural and natural heritage of our region, and represents a valuable opportunity for the exchange of best practices among schools.
Among the pages of this issue, two initiatives of the Municipality of Genoa stand out: Gli Anelli del Benessere and Genova Global Goals Award 2024 - Blue Edition.
Gli Anelli del Benessere is an innovative project that combines health and exploration of the territory. Genoa, with its open spaces and mild climate, offers the ideal context to promote a healthy lifestyle and prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. The project involves the development of routes marked with points of historical and artistic interest and public transport stops, integrated with QR code technology for guided navigation through the Komoot app. During the inauguration of the Centro-Est route, students explored iconic places in the city, becoming ambassadors of wellness and inspiring the entire community.
The next Anello del Benessere to be inaugurated will be the Medio Levante on May 6th. This route, starting and ending at the Waterfront di Levante, runs along Corso Italia and passes through the picturesque village of Boccadasse and the Albaro district. An unmissable opportunity to discover new corners of Genoa and promote wellness through movement.
Genova Global Goals Award 2024 - Blue Edition celebrates creativity and commitment to sustainability. This competition of ideas and projects, aimed at schools and businesses, focuses on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030. The award ceremony saw the participation of schools and companies with innovative projects aimed at protecting Genoa's natural heritage. And for those already curious about what the future holds, the presentation of the new and fourth edition of the Genova Global Goals Award, titled Urban Green Edition, will take place on April 30th as part of Euroflora 2025. The focus of this edition will be on safeguarding the environment and greenery of the city, for an increasingly green Genoa.
