Genova Global Goals Award at the University of Genova Summer School
On 17 July 2025, the Territorial Marketing Department of the Genoa City Council actively participated in the Genova Sustainability Week, organised by the University of Genoa in collaboration with the Fondazione Carige, presenting the ‘Genova Global Goals Award’ project.
The project is part of the Genova Lighthouse strategy and the ìAction Plan Genova, with the aim of promoting sustainable local ideas and projects to raise community awareness on crucial issues such as climate change, biodiversity protection and circular economy. At the heart of the initiative is a contest of ideas and projects involving schools and local realities, stimulating active participation and co-design of innovative solutions for the city's future.
During the Summer School of the University of Genoa, the project aroused great interest among participating students and businesses. Ottavia Pittaluga, owner of the company Shopthelook s.r.l., who took part in the Blue Edition of the contest with ambitious projects with a high social and environmental impact, was also part of the presentation of the ‘Genova Global Goals Award’ project, strongly believing in the potential of this initiative for a transition towards a sustainable economic development of the City and for the improvement of the quality of the community.

The meeting was a chance for discussion and inspiration, underlining the importance of networking between institutions, local realities and schools, to build together a greener, more inclusive and resilient Genova.
Together for a better future.
