Genova reborn in the green: the Memorial Park nears completion

The Memorial Park is set to become a new green lung for Genova, symbolising an increasingly green and resilient city.

The second phase of the executive project, developed by the Dodi Moss company, is underway and involves the creation of evocative green “rooms”: spaces composed of topiary plants that will adorn the Gardens and the Memorial building dedicated to the 43 victims of the collapse of the Morandi Bridge. These gardens will be accessible and usable by those passing through the area, offering an immersive experience in nature and memory.

Another important intervention concerns the safety and restoration of the wall that runs parallel to the Memorial. This architectural element, which was present before the collapse of the bridge, will be preserved to keep the historical memory of the place alive.

The executive project will last 45 days, after which the actual work will begin. The aim is to restore an area rich in vitality, beauty and memory to the city.

Finally, the Memorial itself will also undergo an evolution: the project developed by Aster will be given its final form, which involves removing the 43 pots currently in place and planting the trees directly in the ground, giving the project greater stability and naturalness.
