The thirteenth edition of the Smart Cup Liguria is launched, for the first time in collaboration with the ‘Genova Global Goals Award’ project.

Yesterday kicked off the 13th edition of the Smart Cup Liguria, the regional competition that is part of the PNI ( Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione - National Innovation Award), dedicated to high-tech business ideas. The goal is to promote and support the creation of innovative start-ups, encouraging them to set up in the Liguria region.

The Smart Cup Liguria is promoted by the Liguria Region and organised by F.I.L.S.E. S.p.A. (Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico - Ligurian Financial Institution for Economic Development), in collaboration with the University of Genova and numerous entities from the world of research and the local economic tissue.

The first meeting, entitled “From inspiration to action - Transforming vision into project”, addressed the path that leads from value proposition to the creation of a business plan, offering participants concrete tools to transform a vision into an entrepreneurial project. The meeting generated some very interesting ideas and provided an opportunity to present innovative ideas capable of responding to real needs.

During the meeting, the complete calendar of the SMARTcup Academy was presented, which also includes the event organised by the Municipality of Genova entitled “Tools for Growth: Opportunities in Genova, Business Models and Elevator Pitches”, scheduled for 23 September at 5 p.m. at the Genova Blue District, located in Via del Molo 65r.

In this context, the ‘Genova Global Goals Award’ project, now in its fourth edition, will also be presented. The Genova Global Goals Award is a contest for sustainable and/or innovative ideas and projects, aimed at raising awareness among local communities about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. The project aims to promote the sustainable economic development of the city, enhancing local initiatives and contributing concretely to urban regeneration and the preservation of common goods.
