AirIdea takes off from Genova to connect Northern Italy

29/01/2026

Starting in March 2026, AirIdea, a new airline based in Genova at Cristoforo Colombo Airport, will launch its operations offering direct and efficient connections to major cities in Northern and Northeastern Italy. The flights, operated by modern twin-engine aircraft capable of accommodating up to 18 passengers, will be operated on a daily basis. The main objective of the company is to become the reference carrier for Italian regional air transport.

Through short- and medium-distance flights, AirIdea aims to reconnect communities and support the economic and tourism development of the areas involved in the project, including Milano, Trieste, Rimini, Bologna, Aosta, and many other destinations.

One of the main strengths of the Genoese company will be the offer of affordable fares, combined with the possibility of representing a valid alternative to traditional means of land transport, such as cars and trains, often penalized by traffic, delays and inefficiencies.
