Twinning between Istituto Nautico San Giorgio and the London Nautical School for St George's Flag Day

On the occasion of St. George's Flag Day, the twinning between the Istituto Nautico San Giorgio and the London Nautical School was made official yesterday. This important event was made possible thanks to the efforts of the network formed by the St. George's Club and the Ambassadors of Genova in the world.

During the ceremony in the Aula Magna, the students had the honour of welcoming Captain Mike Davis-Marks, awarded in 2006 with the OBE (Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), one of the most prestigious honours in the United Kingdom.

The twinning is part of the initiatives stemming from the Memorandum of Intent signed between the City of Genoa and the City of London in 2022. These exchange relations represent a further step towards greater collaboration between Italy and Great Britain, and in particular between Genova and London, promoting interculturalism in education.

This twinning not only celebrates history and culture, but also lays the foundations for a future of friendship and cooperation between new generations.
