Ancora pochi giorni di tempo per presentare la tua idea alla SMARTcup Liguria

SMARTcup Liguria, the Liguria Region Business Plan Competition, organised by FI.L.S.E. S.p.A. in collaboration with the University of Genova and the National Innovation Award, returns this year to welcome innovative business ideas and transform them into real start-ups. The aim is to encourage the establishment of new businesses in the Liguria region, thanks to the active involvement of over 70 public and private partners and stakeholders.

Now reaching its thirteenth edition, the business plan competition has collected over 300 business ideas since 2013, contributing to the creation of around 60 start-ups. This journey has consolidated SMARTcup Liguria as a point of reference for those who want to turn a project into a business.

You have time until 6 October 2025 to submit your idea, even if it is still in its infancy. Projects must fall within one of the following four thematic areas:

• ICT
• Life Sciences & Med Tech
• Clean Tech & Energy
• Industrial

The four best regional ideas will be selected during the final scheduled for 29 October at the Filse BIC incubator. Prizes range from participation in the PNI 2025 national competition, scheduled for 4 and 5 December in Ferrara, to six months' free incubation at regional incubators. 

In addition, there will be the opportunity to win the ‘Climate Change’ award, given to the most sustainable idea by the Head of Place Marketing for the Municipality of Genoa, Dr Gabriele Andreetta.

Liguria, and Genova in particular, is increasingly establishing itself as an ecosystem of innovation, where businesses are created by addressing local issues and generating economic development.
