Clean energy: the Liguria Region issues a new call for proposals for public bodies
EUR 2.2 million available for efficiency projects and production from renewable sources
The Liguria Region opens up a new opportunity for local authorities who intend to improve the energy performance of their public assets. A call for proposals dedicated to investments in renewable energy plants, funded through the ERDF Regional Programme 2021–2027, has been approved.
Applications can be submitted from November 27 to December 12, 2025 (the portal will be offline from November 4) via FILSE's “On Line Calls” system, with a total allocation of approximately €2.2 million.
Who can participate
The Metropolitan City of Genoa, the Provinces of Imperia, La Spezia and Savona and municipalities with a population of up to 40 thousand inhabitants are eligible to apply.
Contributions and requirements
The interventions must include a minimum investment of 100 thousand euros and a renewable energy production power of at least 100 kW.
The regional contribution may cover up to 70% of eligible expenditure, with increased percentages:
80% for municipalities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants;
100% for the municipalities located in the eight Internal Areas recognized by the Liguria Region: Antola and Tigullio Valleys, Beigua Sol, Val di Vara, Valle Arroscia, Imperiese, Val Fontanabuona, Bormida Ligure and Valle Scrivia.
A new impetus to the energy transition
«This is the second edition of a call for proposals that attracted strong interest last May, with 17 applications and requests totaling approximately €5.9 million –explained by Regional Energy Councilor Paolo Ripamonti and Councilor for Economic Development Alessio Piana. – With this new window, total resources rise to approximately €8 million».
The measure is part of a broader strategy to support the decarbonization of the territory and the development of renewable energy, which also involves the regional productive fabric. A further €10 million call for proposals is underway, starting November 17-29, for companies wishing to install energy production plants from sustainable sources within their facilities.
