Genoa Airport, a record-breaking 2025: over 1.5 million passengers.
Genoa Airport finished 2025 with its best result to date, recording 1,577,159 passengers handled entering and exiting our territory, surpassing the all-time passenger record set in 2019.
This was achieved thanks to the restart of cruise charters, the launch of new connections with Eastern Europe (Warsaw and Krakow), and the strengthening of the existing network such as Tirana, Paris Orly, and Barcelona.
These milestones testify to the growth of international passenger traffic at Genoa airport, which has been continuously increasing for 21 months with a growth rate of 29%, while domestic traffic remains unchanged.
Specifically, the following results were recorded in the last quarter of 2025:
- October: 153,660 passengers (+22.8% on 2024) and 1,606 flight movements (+20.1% on 2024);
- November: 100,025 passengers (+12% on 2024) and 1,013 flight movements (+3.3% on 2024);
- December: 104,694 passengers (+21.5% on 2024) and 1,060 flight movements (+11.1% on 2024).
Genoa Airport President Enrico Musso emphasizes that, continuing this trend, the airport's growth is expected to consolidate further in 2026, benefiting the local area and travelers.
The president's statements were also reinforced by the airport's general manager, Francesco D'Amico, who emphasized that the results achieved in 2025 are the result of a long-term development project launched over the past two years.
The new targets aim to increase international traffic through the activation of new connections and the further strengthening of domestic traffic.
With this in mind, a partnership with Aeroitalia was launched at the end of 2025, which includes the introduction of a new flight over Rome with two daily frequencies from Monday to Friday and one daily frequency on weekends.
