ZENiA, the new virtual assistant of the Municipality of Genoa.
ZENiA is the new virtual assistant launched by the Municipality of Genoa based on artificial intelligence designed to facilitate the relationship between the Administration and citizens. ZENiA is available on the institutional website www.comune.genova.it and can be reached directly at the link www.comune.genova.it/zenia.
Thanks to ZENiA, residents, users, and visitors can use public services 24 hours a day and perform practical activities such as sending reports, requesting assistance, and booking appointments with the relevant counters.
The assistant is accessible to all as it can be used in nine languages: Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Bengali and Urdu, and integrated with the main accessibility tools.
Interaction occurs both via text chat, directly from the municipal website's homepage, and through the “speech to text” function: the user can speak to the virtual assistant, who will respond both verbally and in writing.
Furthermore, the service can be used anonymously or with identification via SPID, Electronic Identity Card, or National Services Card, respecting personal data as the platform does not store personal identification data, except in cases of requests for assistance or appointment reservations.
