Circular City Forum 2026: "Genoa returns with the Second Edition"
Following the success of the first edition, Genoa will host the second Circular City Forum from April 17 to 22, 2026 . As a pioneer in Italy for urban circular economy, the event supports the Municipality of Genoa’s ambitious candidacy to lead a network of circular cities.
This second edition offers numerous experiential and networking opportunities alongside the congressional sessions held at Palazzo Tursi and the Blue District . The program includes: Food contests for both students and professionals, an ecofashion runway show, an expo-market featuring local craftsmanship, a dedicated contest for start-ups .
The initiative relies on a strategic network of local and sectoral partners, featuring collaborations with institutions such as: CNA - Federmoda, Confartigianato Liguria, Cybertribu, Gruppo Timossi, Istituto Bergese, Italia Circolare, Job Center, and the Unione Regionale Cuochi Liguri . These key players will drive six days of synergy between innovation, sustainability, and the local territory.
The event is fully integrated into the Genova C-City project, an ambitious initiative included in the Genova 2050 Action Plan and the Lighthouse Strategy . Recognized as a European best practice by the Urbact Monitoring Committee, the C-City model integrates the circular economy into urban and industrial planning through: Ecodesign,Resource reuse,Extension of product life cycles.
By involving both institutions and citizens, the project aims to generate concrete, measurable, and replicable impacts. With this second edition, Genoa reaffirms its commitment to a circular future, transforming visions and collaborations into a tangible model of sustainable development.
