Genoa in Nice: tourism and relations with France at the heart of the “Visitez l’Italie” forum
The Comune di Genova took part on Wednesday, April 8, in the “Visitez l’Italie – Forum franco-italien”, hosted in the historic halls of the Hotel Le Negresco in Nizza. The event marked the culmination of the “10 Comuni” project, organized by the Camera di Commercio Italiana di Nizza. This year, the initiative doubled the presence of Italian excellences to meet the growing demand of the French market.
The Genoese delegation, led by Councillor for Tourism and Territorial Marketing Tiziana Beghin, engaged with over 25 industry professionals, strengthening the strategic relationship with France, which remains Liguria’s leading international tourism market. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to connect with buyers and specialized press, key players in consolidating the positive growth trend already recorded in 2025.
During the presentation, Genoa positioned itself as an increasingly dynamic destination, capable of transforming its rich historical heritage into a modern, experiential tourism offering. Particular focus was given to the 20th anniversary of the Sistema dei Palazzi dei Rolli, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the extensive program of related events.
Special attention was also dedicated to outdoor and sustainable tourism opportunities, combining urban paths with excursions in the surrounding areas and highlighting the city’s “vertical and wild” character. This proposal aligns perfectly with the preferences of the French audience, traditionally drawn to nature-based experiences and outdoor activities.
